As we near the conclusion of the regular SYB season, two All-Star tournament teams (Gold and Black) for the 8U age level will be established. Eligible players will have played in the spring season for SYB. These teams represent Sycamore Youth Baseball in two tournaments played in July. All-Stars are expected to fulfill the obligations associated with this honor, which include attending tryouts, all mandated practices and tournament games. Parents of prospective All-Stars players will need to construct their summer schedules accordingly if they wish for their child to be considered for the All-Star Tournament Team.
Tryouts for the 2024 8U All-Star will take place at the Citizens Memorial Sports Complex, fields 9 - 12, located at 435 Airport Road, Sycamore, IL 60178. Tryout dates are:
All-Stars practices will begin in June at the conclusion of our rec/in-house leagues end of season tournaments.
Our 8U All-star teams will be playing in two tournaments in July.
Tournament #1 - CDBL Mid-Summer Classic (Elgin): July 5 - July 7
Tournament #2 - Sycamore 8U All-Star Tournament (Sycamore): July 12
Sycamore Youth Baseball All-Stars will cost approximately $175 per player (Does not include Rec/In-House fees). This includes the tournament fees, umpire costs, field maintenance costs, a hat, jersey, pants, socks and a belt.
